In January this year I wend to a place I thought not a soul knew about it.
I knew there was growing a lot of aloë plants and I knew also that this plant attracts hummingbirds.
Determine the photograph some of those amazing birds, I wend on my way to this “secret spot”.
Little did I know that photographers have an extra sense for those kinds of spots, so I soon discover two American tourists with heavy Canon equipment doing what I came to do.
We had a nice chat and captured some nice wildlife also.

Hereunder some of my results shoot with Nikon D70 - Nikkor 70-300mm f4/5.6D on tripod. I hope you enjoy the photo's.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Very nice pictures Dick thumb.gif

I accidentally took a picture of a humming bird once, but when I planned on taking a picture of them none would come. I waited for almost an hour and gave up. How do you know about where they'd go and how long do you typically have to wait for such sweet shots?

    Thanks Chandi.

I know they like aloe flowers very much, so I wend where those flowers are concentrated and hope to see a hummingbird. I noticed that the photographed hummingbird was comming to the same flowers again and again. Whitin 30 minutes I had my shots. A tripod is a must.
