As I said, what's appealing to me about DxO is how the automatic mode nailed the skin tones and the hat.
Yeah, and then I screwed it up. I always tend towards yellow. It's like a handicap I have. Like when Rutt was complaining about always framing high. Oy.
Well, that's too bad. They support that lens but not with that camera. Maybe because it's relatively new they don't have a lot of lenses for it. The 20D has a ton of lenses. The 30D has 0 support at this time.
Here's the lenses supported with the 5D:
Canon EF35mm f/1.4L USM
Canon EF50mm f/1.4 USM
Canon EF400mm f/5.6L USM
Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG
Canon EF16-35mm f/2.8L USM
Canon EF17-40mm f/4L USM
Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM
Canon EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM
Canon EF28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
Canon EF28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM
Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L USM
Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon EF70-200mm f/4L USM
Canon EF70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM
Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
Quick RGB levels on that shot to recover from my heavy hand:
You know, it's a funny thing. If I look at this treatment first, I like it. But as soon as I look at the automatic version, it spoils all the warm ones for me. And it's not as if the automatic is beautiful, it's just that it's accurate, so the yellow really becomes apparent on the other versions.
