I posted in Other Shots about a small Prarie area that they did a controlled burn at. It still smells like smoke and most of the area is clear of all debris. I was hopeing to get a shot of a Woodcock because I have heard that they are mating in the area. I didn't see any today but hopefully soon. Does anyone here know much about them? I kow they are nocturnal but does anyone know if they are out at dusk or do they wait until it is totally dark out? Well anyways here are a couple from today.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Dick and Harry. I liked the light in the first 4 but the last two I was kinda puching it. Well I'm off now in search of some more feathered friends. Hopefully I'll have something a little more exciting to post this evening.

    Cute little birdies.

Deer must be attracted to you. I can only get within a 1000 feet of them, and then only at a zoo.

So did Starved Rock happen on Friday? I want to capture that waterfall one of these days (although it's almost always in the shade).

Thanks David, I dress up as a cob of corn and that usually attracts them blbl.gif. I'm sorry to say that I didn't get to go to Starved Rock. I was stuck at work until 1:30AM Thursday night so I slept in on Friday. Hopefully I'll get there soon though.
