This was my first attempt at shooting soccer. I shoot all other high school sports in our area, but have never had the opportunity to photograph soccer. All images were shot with the Canon 20D and the 70-200 f/4L.

Good job, Liza. I like to see the soccer shots. Lots of intensity and the action really comes across in the photos. thumb.gif

Thanks. I shoot for the league and make images available to parents. My next venture is Little League!

Nice shots, Liza. I find there are two kinds of soccer shots. Portrait-oriented, of which your first shot is a good example; the player has their head up and is clearly visible. These sell well to parents.
Action-oriented, of which your second shot is a good example.

The only thing I would suggest is that you keep your camera as close to f/4 as possible, to minimize the distractions of the background (by shallow depth-of-field.)

    Thanks for sharing.
