Silent Chimes

This is the best close-up that I could do so far with my Sigma 18-50mm. I noticed that there is no macro switch on the lens, not even an aperture ring... not that an aperture ring would do anything.

It was dim in the room and so the flash went off. I didn't set any special settings on the camera, for I dunno how to yet. I just set the dial on the flower icon. I guess if I knew how to use PS, it would look a bit better.:ps

    Road Island Red Feather
I did this one later on after the chimes. I think this looks better. Same Sigma 18-50mm lens. Too bad the feather is weather beaten after coming off the rooster, probably weeks ago.:twitch

I see a little bit of camera flare on the centre chime...... you keep shooting away and you'll soon find out what all those little dials and buttons do....it's a great way to learn....... Skippy (Australia) :D

    Thanks!

It's funny though how the wall behind the chimes didn't light up. I'm having quite some fun with the camera. Hopefully it won't rain later today. Sure is nice to have my first Sunday off in a whole year.clap.gif

    Feather enhanced.
I guess I did the best I can do to this one with an editor. I used Nikon PictureProject. Just can't find anything but the sharpening feature on PS. Guess I'll be good at photography and editing by the turn of the next century.rolleyes1.gif
