Very cool. Some look fake, but they're real!

That's awesome. I love clouds. I've actually seen clouds looking very similar, that was pretty cool. What came afterwards was a little less cool lol3.gif

    Cool pics!
While I haven't seen this particular website before, I have seen pictures of those clouds from that day. I imagine it was a Kodak moment for a lot of people.

Some shots were at seen Tom Skilling's* Severe Weather Seminar held at FermiLab in Batavia, IL (2005); others were posted elsewhere right after that.

As it happens, we were on our way back from Colorado when some of that weather was photographed. From our vantage point along Interstate 80, we could only tell it was going to be a very interesting day for many there. From Ft. Morgan Colorado all the way to just before Lincoln, Neb. Weather weather everywhere. Probably 10 straight hours of that stuff. It was raining almost immediately on us as we got into central Nebraska, so the only pictures I have are pretty bad.

*Tom Skilling is a local celebrity around Chicago. He is the chief meteorologist at Superstation WGN, and also brother of Jeffrey Skilling of the Enron Debacle.
