hey storm, how goes it? thumb.gif
dont tell me you took those fotos with the good ol 828! :uhoh
cuz' id like to know what case you used! :D

anyway, i really like the last one. on the see urchin. i would run it through neatimage though because i can see some noise near the darker areas of the photo. it has a really nice depth of field, however, i think you can improve the contrast by pulling the curves on ps down south-east just a tad to give it a little bit of brightness. or.. if you can do it well, give it an S-curve on ps, i can help ya through it if you dont know how, just pm me. good luck buddy!

    Yep all with the 828

Had a scare today. Shot a 1G card just about full of images and all of a sudden I was getting a format 13:01 error. Couldn't read them on the puter either. Lost the whole card worth. Nothing important, just messing with different stuff for the challenge today. I reformatted in camera and all seems well now.

I'm still playing with them in PS, I'll see what I come up with here.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Dana, I have this program that recovers photos from cds/disks/memory cards, its called BadCopy Pro. If you're things ever stop working again, give me a holler ;) I'm having problems with my Memory Stick PRO Duo on my camera too, it gives me the same error, I found out that it was the connection on the produo adapter. My CF card isnt affected though. You should look inside your card slot to see if the connections were bent or anything.

What case did you use for the 828 btw? Thats really cool. Did the laser work underwater okay?

Also, take my advice on the last photo, run it through NeatImage, it will clean up the noise in a jiffy. thumb.gif

Ahhhhh ok now I know what you meant by case.
I didn't use an underwater case. I took the advice of some guy on dpreview and put it in a baggy. LMAO just kiddingrolleyes1.gif

These weren't underwater. If I was underwater in Indiana, I'd be freezing my pattootie off and all you would see was mud. I messed around with WB etc until I got that sorta look. I have a huge display of this type of stuff. 20 - 25 years ago I bought most of a collection from an old man who was an avid collector. I still regret that I did not buy the Giant Clam Shell he had. It was amazing.

I like #3 the best. #4 is also great. Those two are the best compositions.

Thanks everyone for the help here tonight.

Tough choice. I like them all, but I do see what is said about composition. I love looking at the patterns though.

    Thanks again.
