Bloodroot

GREAPER

Each year the spring wildflowers start comming in. One of the earliest is bloodroot. It grows in the woods and I think they bloom before there are leaves on the trees to take advantage of the sun that will be blocked when the trees fill out.

I took this series of shots yesterday on a trail back in the woods.

Nice flowers Brian. I really like the second and last shots. The small DOF works in these IMHO.

Nice shot. I believe this shot I captured last week is the same flower.
