Black Eye Elliot

Howdy friends!

My son Elliot tripped today, and got himself his first black eye. It wasn't to bad though, and he cried for 30 seconds, that's about it. Then, when eating lunch, the black eye really "popped" in the light from the window, and I couldn't help but thinking, twisted minded as I am "Boy, it looks like his gone his first boxing round" *Haha* Then I remebered that I actually have a par of boxing gloves........
Life is like a lot of boxing rounds, very very uneven to the start. But by doggedly fighting on, eventually you'll get better and better - and one day - WHAM-SLAM-BAM - you get your first Knock Out!

Mind your guard / Matty

Ok! Ok! He didn't trip! I fought him! Buy hey, I gave him a fair fight, with my left arm behind my back, and I had no glove
to proctect my hand!

    Obsolutely amazing!!!

    Terrific Shot!

The lighting, expression, pose... all dead on!

And we thought you could only shoot beautiful women well! rolleyes1.gif

BTW, how do you do the background like this? What is its color and what do you do to light it?

    Thanks.

    Hehe! Thanx you, Jim! :):
Well, occationally I point my camera at my children! mwink.gif

Elliot was sitting in his baby chair by the kitchen table, facing the window, that was the only lightsource. The background is the kitchen wallpaper, very light gray, almost white. To get the background smooth like this, I did a copy of the background layer and ran it through Neat Image, then I erased around Elliot. Then I did some buring (using "burn tool"). That's all there was to it!

    Regards / Matty

What great storytelling! Can't believe you got your son to pose like that, it's perfect. Really a nice job, you are a very talented and creative man. thumb.gif

Thanx! Haha! Believe it or not, but the tricky part was to get the gloves on, and to get the pic before they were off again. :):

What an amazing shot! It doesn't look posed at all, the lighting is perfect, what more can I say? You took "good" advantage of a bad situation (hope he's ok?) and came out with a winner!!! Helps that he's a cutie, too, I guess! thumb.gif
