Like the Bee shots a lot, the jumping spider looks like you had some exposure problems (quite noisy image). Last shot of some sort of beetle is good to- nice colours.

Yep, I'm in the same boat as you John, but its so addictive you just keep trying and trying don't you
I found as tip from Brian that using an external flash helps compensate for slight hand shake and give more DOF too.
Your images look fine to me...... there is something about bees that intrigues me, as you watch them go about their daily routine.
