You're getting the hang of it! Post processing can be a challenge for some - looks like you have that taken care of just fine though. Aren't they neat to shoot?
Puffy clouds within blue sky. Those make IR's look cool. Also green leafy things, water, little white cottage type buildings in the background surrounded by nature.
The sun should be behind you at about the 1:30 to 2:00 position and illuminating the subjects in front of you head-on. Higher than normal apertures and bracketing.
We might need an IR forum if this IR panacea keeps up.

oooo i like the one with the bench.. ahh i love IR photos, it just seems like there's so much more life to these photos. i'm sure they'd be good in colour but ir makes it so much more mysterious! !
--> this sounds so stupid but how do you take IR pics.. cause i've tried to look it up and it seems like there's many ways.. .. could someone explain this to me! id really appreciate it! thx. jamie

I took the IR shot with a sony dsc-v3 which has a 'nightshot' mode that allows for infrared photography. I used an IR filter (a lot of people use a Hoya r72) to only pass IR. Other cameras + r72 can be used but need longer exposures because most cameras have an IR blocking filter built into them that blocks IR light from getting through.

The park bench is a nice shot.

I'm waiting for more leaves and greenery as well. It's on it's way in Toronto! IR season has only just begun.
