Problem uploading files via drag and drop

Hi,

I'm just getting started with SmugMug and am experiencing problems uploading via drag and drop.

I dragged and dropped around 150 images. The upload stopped at 50 images.

When I attempt to upload the remaining images, the progress bar shows they are uploaded. But the drag and drop screen says "Sorry ... no images received." And, sure enough, nothing is added to the gallery.

What's wrong?

Thank you,
Lisa

    Hi Andy!

I succeeded in getting Extensis to tag my files with keywords. I can think of some ways to making that part quicker.

    My smugmug site: BigTrain.smugmug.com

    Gallery: http://bigtrain.smugmug.com/gallery/1367309

    Thanks,

    OK my tips in order:

    1) clear all temp files (cache) and cookies.
    2) log out
    3) close browser
    4) reopen browser and log in
    5) upload

still problems? Get the latest java update:
    http://www.smugmug.com/help/problems

still problems? Do a packet loss test:
    http://www.smugmug.com/help/problems
you must register on that site, but it's free and easy. The test results give you a link, which you can paste here as a reply

I'll be back on Wed morning.

    Hi Andy,

Cleared the temp files and cookie. Java is up to date.

Concurrently, I uploaded files to two galleries
    http://bigtrain.smugmug.com/gallery/1376503
    http://bigtrain.smugmug.com/gallery/1367309

Each gallery upload maxed at 50 photos.

    I don't think so.

I'm dragging them in from an Extesnsis Portfolio catalog.

Is there a conflict with the Portfolio database?

I think Andy's onto something, I think that you're inadvertently uploading an unsupported file.

Ok, I'll go to the original files themselves and drag them in. I'll report back.

    Thank you for your reply.

That works, so the problem has to do with Portfolio.

Does anyone know why dragging from my catalog results in a max of 50 photos getting uploaded?

I'm using a demo version, so it would be ideal to identify the problem before I purchase Portfolio.

    Thanks,
    Lisa

There's probably a hidden file or some other non-jpg file in each folder is my guess.
