Why yes it is :D

Been several weeks (or so it seems) since I've had the time or the light to
shoot.

I know everyone says the sun should be at the 1-2 position but you know,
trying something different isn't such a bad idea either. Here are a few from
the other day.

Taken at Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve:

And down in Santa Cruz. The first one kinda looks a bit like a Mayan
Temple?

This next one adds to the temple feeling. A rock carving in the
sandstone cliffs.

Enjoy.

Thanks 'Gus! Wasn't too sure how that straight into the sun thing was
going to work out. I'm happy with it even if it does break the rules :D

Very nice, ian, I like the first one a lot. I see the soft corners on the last two. What glass? I'm now noticing the same on the 16-35 on the 5D.

Great shots, especially #1. Not that big of an IR fan, but you've done well with it.

Very nice Ian, and shooting into the sun can be even more challenging in IR, as you are far more likely to have flare in your images with IR, than with visible light.

The 10-22 must be a pretty well desinged optic to not have IR flare when the sun in shining into the optic.

These are really nice. IR shots often leave me perplexed, especially the white vegetation. But iR skies make sense to me and especially these.
