Couple shots from work (The Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, MI). We own three steam locomotives (two operating, the third will be running next spring), and a bunch of restored rollingstock.

When we are all done with this car, it will be looking like new.

That's gotta be hard work restoring those old roaring engines. Great images and story, BR.
The old C&NW line is 50 feet north of our house. Hasn't been the same since the UP bought up the assets. They run it terrible. The C&NW would actually care about their neighbors like us. Now, nobody listens in Omaha if we have a complaint.
Every now and then there's a steamer running. Old engine 3850 came by a few times 4 years ago.
