First Time Flora...not my main thang

I was watching the kids play out of my front window and saw these beautiful purple flowers my wife had planted. I got the shallow depth of field I was looking for because I wanted the colorful flowers in the background to lessen the distraction from the flower in the front. Should I have gone for a larger depth of field in this one? Your opinions would be very helpful.

Very nice Mike. If it was me, I crop the yellow flowers out of the picture including the top puple flower.

Oh, yea - I see what you mean. That would really bring out the main flower. Thanks!
