Laughing Gull, while the cat's away......

Laughing Gull: Not laughing in the rain. Would do the cute puppies, kittens, squirrels, rats and dead cockroaches, but am afraid of one and don't have the other.

I just took this yesterday, in desperation for a subj, for Daily Photos. Am resting today. Even the "big man in the sky", even he rested after creating.

And I am an old lady.

But here is my contribution: A Laughing Gull, not laughing, in the rain, see drops on water.

Thanks, Steve: on the composition. They are there all the time, it was raining.

I will make that my project, if I don't have one already, to get a photo with more head details.

Harry will be away til Sunday sometime. I can probably post one during that time, smile.

I like the mood of the picture very much.

The gull is slighty off-center to the right but I think it would help if the gull was slightly off-center to the left. The right is the direction he's looking at and (according to the rules) needs the most space...but...who cares about rules anyway? :):

    Thanks, Dick!

I am a constant breaker of rules. However, I try not to make it too glaring here on dGrin.

The reason I felt free to do it here was the fact that I liked the water in the top left, that made the bird OK on the rt of center a bit. I thought he had enough room to breathe.

And no matter how much I begged he just wouldn't stand the other way, smile!!!

ginger (It was for Daily Photos, I wasn't going to post it here until Harry said "No Gulls". That immediately brought this most recent shot to mind!) And great fun in breaking the composition rules and the Harry rules!
