Yuri lives in a nice old historic city (if you think Boston is old, you should reconsider: Voronezh was first mentioned in the archives in 1177:-) built on the bank of Vorona ([vo'ro:na]="she-raven") river. Originally located well inside a huge forest array that covered a large part of "European Russia" (very much like JRRT's Mirkwood, you could literally get lost in it for weeks), Voronezh played a very important role in both military (as a avantpost against Asian nomads) and economic (lumber!!! Russian navy was originated in late XVI century in Voronezh wharfs by tsar Peter The Great) life of Russia.
Nowadays it's well known as a home for most beautifully photogenic women and world-class photographer Yuri Pautov
Nikolai!
Spasibo for your help !!!
Yuri
You're welcome, I hope you liked my little history burp:-)
