maybe just because its smaller, but seems like it wouldn't hurt it to give it a once-over with the sharpener.

I think it's fine the way it is. I loaded your shot in Corel PhotoPaint and masked the water....added a little (1 pixel) Guassian blur and it made the buildings stand out better IMO. For what it's worth....etc.
I would have to agree with both of you, the image does look soft, but I did the sharpening based on the Print Size of 8" x 36". At that size it is almost on the verge of too much sharpening, I am thinking that the smaller web version doesn't do it justice. If I get a little more time, I will play with a version soley for the web, but it could definetly use more sharpening.
Thanks for the replies.

I will have to try the Guassian blur, didn't even look at that way, do you mind posting the blurring effect, or is that even aloud on the boards, sorry I am new and havn'r read all of the rules yet.

What photo editor do you use?
Gaussian blur is an effect that most editors have in a drop down box named "effects" or possibly "filters".
Just select the water area with a freehand or maybe a rectangle mask. That way you are only applying the blur to that part of the image.
Great job if this is your first attempt!
Thanks for the tip, I definetley like it more than the orginal.
