Last weekend for the tulip festival. Glad I waited till this morning to get my last outing…place was all to myself at 5:50 this morning. It’s been a tough year for flowers this season….while the blooms were out….nothing like I have experienced in past years….but this is the first year that the fields (which rotate every year for soil replenishment) had Mt. Hood as a backdrop and I wanted to capture this Iconic scene. My patience paid off to a WONDERFUL brisk morning. Didn’t get many shots...but the ones I did get were worth the 4:00 am wakeup. My son and wife…troopers that they are…got up with me.
Nuff jabbering. Here are the few keepers I got from the morning.
Happy spring!!!!
See ya out there!

Really fantastic shots. #1 is very nice but #2 is simply perfect!
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

the ones you got are definite keepers! I'm so envious! I'm not sure I'm envious enough to get up at 4 a.m. though :
If you took a 1 second or more exposure you should consider entering Challenge 63!
I'm so glad you shared these with us....

Shows sailors can do more than drink and swear!
Patience seems to fast be fading as a part in photography, but it's the only way of getting shots like that, with the kind of light soft, even light you captured.
Absolutely beautifull.
Dee - Thanks for the suggestion. Just entered the moonset over Tulip Fields. (2.5 sec exposure) in challenge 63.
Ric - yer $%@#^& right!!!! (hee hee hee...couldnt resist.)
Ridetwistyroads - Your absolutly right....One aspect of digital that has been a detriment is instant feedback and satisfaction. People rush so much through their day that they miss the details that can realy expose the heart tugging beauty we gloss over. Somthing tells me your a motorcycle rider (I must be psychic...lol) and that gets you back to exploring your world as well.
