A way to tell people that I have uploaded new photos to my site

Hey guys just wondering if there was a way I could "alert" people of new pictures added to my site? I have a bunch of family that looks at my site and it would be nice to be able to send them a email automatically when I post pictures related to my family.
One other note I am VERY happy with the support that smugmug offers and I have not found any other site that offers this kind of community and support. Thanks guys for everything!!!

cool but it will only work if your galleries are not password protected right? I want my family to know when something has been updated that is in a password protected gallery
