I don't answer qeustions by pm. Why? The question by one, can be answered by many. The answer by one, can benefit many. You should also benefit from many opinions on the subject, not just mine 
I use .Mac backup, which automagically backs up my bookmarks, calendar, contacts etc to to my .mac account. It also automagically incrementally backs up once a day, my photos to one of my external maxtor firewire drives. Once a month I burn critical files to DVD.
