Can anyone give me an idea on what I can do to get a "In your face" look to our puppies? Here's a pic from a calendar store: Pretty cute.

I'd like to get some pictures of our puppies to look like that.
Is it done with some work on the computer, or is it the lens and the shot itself?

The beagle!

    Cute puppies!
The closest I could get was this, just messing with something in photoshop .... probly not what you're looking for (definately not a good photo in the first place - taken with my parents very 'average' digi)....

i'ld be interested to see if anyone knows how they did the beagle pic too.... maybe its a fisheye lense???ne_nau.gif

Not a fisheye, a wide angle 18mm t0 20mm probably, You get that exagerated "zoom" effect if you are close to the subject.

Then he tried shaping up and doing a Skippy comercial, but he wouldn't let go of his Skippy after filming was over ...
