Hey folks. Snapped some shots this morning at the osprey nest. Thought I'd share a few with you . This is the female ...affectionately called "Mom" getting a little exercise and stretching her wings and vocal chords. She's been busy taking good care of the 3 chicks. They are all looking healthy and I'll post some pics later :D
Thanks for looking.

Thank you much, Harry. Don't hurt your hands clapping. You've been at it a while I see. You need them hands to hold the camera and fire the shutter relese. :D

You should come down with Kevin tomorrow. We're going out on the boat again to shoot the osprey. :uhoh

    REally nice Osprey shots, Mike.

Yes, my birds are all at the rookery, too. My other haunts have pretty much dried up. I went to a plantation in my "neighborhood" today. Shot butterflys, then went over where the birds "are".

They come in, but it basically looks deserted. I did get what I think is a Red Tailed Hawk, and a Heron. Also a Turkey Hawk with "dinner" (I like that one, it is unusual)...........so it is worth going, but the teeming wildlife is nesting elsewhere.

You at least have your Osprey, I saw a baby on the nest there!

Thank you Ed &Ginger. Nice of you to stop in and comment.

Some of the backyard birds returned last night. Guess they knew Paavo was coming to shoot. I was incorrect about the PAIR of osprey moving in to the neighborhood. Looks like a family now. I saw 4 osprey in the tree yesterday. clap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gifclap.gif

Thanks for stopping in, Jeff. You need to get Ben and William and come visit. I'll take you all out to shoot the osprey nests. Talk about an osprey FEST!!! 16 (maybe more) osprey within a 1/2 mile area. Woooot!!!
