How to eliminate footer from homepage only?

OK, so I've searched and searched, and I've even checked out the CSS of some people that appear to be using this option. I still can't seem to get it to work.

    .homepage #MRPFooter {display:none;}

    Cliff,

    You'll find that the #MRPFooter is a custom footer on Andy's site.
    ie. MRP = Moon River Photography

    So that element doesn't exist on your page.

    The footer "isn't meant" to be remove.

    Eliminate footer... kind of
    Hey guys, I've been wanting to get rid of the login and smugmug linkage as well to clean up the page and keep people from getting confused. At the base of my e-mail update sign-up form I added a ton of line break html. It pushed down smug's bottomline footer out of view. Now I can sign in and my customers don't lose their minds trying to sign up for something that pulls them away from my site.
