What butterflys are good for?

They make you smile...........awe, you did, didn't you!

The happy things of spring and summer here in the low country!

What do you all think that butterflys are good for?

They would give Merry Chapel lots to think and worry about! Bless her heart.

Personally, I can't see that the B'rer Rabbit movie could ever have been made

without butterflys.

They stretch your mind and your vocabulary! Play the game..........

What would you do with a butterfly?

(besides smile at it while your blood pressure went down, your seratonin went up.)

Would you stick pins in their middle and attach them to boards for study,

or would they be for your impromptu dance, in reality or in your mind.

Butterflys are Cool Beans!

This was my second time with the new to me Macro lens for butterflys.
I was all concerned about DOF and stuff, before leaving the house, until I saw, in a magazine, or a book, some very good photos of butterflys. And the DOF did not appear to be an issue. It seemed that those professionals to make sure that the front part of the butterfly, the fly proper, was in focus.

That was my take on it.

Almost too tired to type. I think I am through with the stuff from Monday, now for Sat which is a much bigger burden.............tomorrow.

But, honestly, I was thinking of lots of things. DOF was one of them. But my first priority was to see a butterfly settle on a flower, then next to get close enough for my 100mm lens. Then I was highly into getting the front grosser working parts of the butterfly in focus. I was not, then trying to have it all.

thanks for commenting. I love it when people comment!

If someone is busy, I certainly understand. Been there, done that, but I do love those comments!

It made me smile :): :): :): - your picture and your description. Thanks!!

P.S. Since I couldn't even get good close ups of flowers today without most or all of their parts being OOF, I would not even begin to try to critique your photo on a technical level. It gave me a lot of pleasure as is.

Hey Ginger, I really like it. Butterflys are harder to shoot than they look like.
