    Yuri-
Is the second shot a duo-tone of blue and black ... or is my monitor off? In spite of the noise and that it seems a bit soft, I like the second shot best. I don't like the blue tones ... I think that sepia or just B&W would do more justice to Elena and your photographic skills. The second pix has great lighting, almost Rembrant ... to emphasis this lighting I would darken Elena's face just a little ... darken the shadows on the right ... just to see if this slight adjustment would make the pix a bit more dramatic. (and I'd dodge out the eyes to add a bit of "pop")

For me this version is better.
No only because the model looks better herself but the color transmits the intensity of the person.
The depth of field is very narrow and the eyes, the hair and the lips are focused in a vertical plan parallel to the viewer.
I do not know if the photo has been croped.
But if so, and I think it was, the crop is very well done placing the face a little bended... giving a sence of feminity.
The light is well chosen too.
Well, Yuri you master the portrait because you are a good photographer and you do a lot of them.

    3200 looks like Tri-X pushed to 1600.

Wow .. that is interesting ... my examples just disappeared. -G-

I like the second shot a lot.

The blue works and softness is good at times and this is one of them. To me she looks to be thinking and makes me wonder what she's thinking about. The softness and grain promote the mystery of not knowing everything. The composition is good also. Very nice.thumb.gif
