A couple of months ago I went out and got me a Nikon D50 on impulse. I am still learning the ropes but yesterday I took it to Keeneland to take some shots. I think some are pretty good but I'll post a couple and you tell me what you think.

Very nice, Don. I've been dying to shoot at the horse track on a muddy day.

I would suggest a little post processing to bring out the best in your shots. nothing major, just a quickie: levels, brightness (slight -), contrast (slight +), and crop a bit off each edge except the right.

    Cheers,
    Vance

Good shots but VMac said it. Just a little "pop" and the horses/riders will come off the page.

Ugh...wow...that is pretty sweet looking...so I guess my next question...what does the majority of people use? Or what works best? I have MS Picture It Premium 9. Is there something much better?

    Cs2
CS2 is the gold standard, but it is EXPENSIVE. I think that you could accomplish everything that you need with Elements 2.0.
