Northern Flicker

This was taken at the local park, in which I have never seen these birds there before.

    today i saw two northern flickers through my 400 mm, and they still looked the size of peas... arrgh!

    But at least I got your to look at and they are wonderful !!!

    Hi Troy, this is the firsat time even getting close to these guys, and this guy was not too bad in getting close at all. My lucky day I guess.

    I agree they are a wonderful bird for sure.
