Well I processed a couple more shots that have been on my hard drive since February. I think these are some of my favorite shots from MI3. I hope you like looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Well done Nick. The tri color is sweet as is the froggy flight. :D Did enjoy the MI3 shoot and look forward to getting back up that way to shoot again. Did you make it to Gatorland on (I think) Thursday ? That place was great!!!

Love them all, but especially #2 - the froggy shot.

Thanks everyone for the nice coments. I like that everyone has their own favorite, it makes me feel that all of them are good and worth posting.

Cristian, that is a full frame shot with the Canon 400 f/5.6 on a very windy day at sunset. It was so windy that at one point my tripod almost got tipped over by the wind. I think I could have climbed the tree and sat next to the hawk. It just didn't care that we were there.

Mike, I also really like the tricolor shot. I have a series of it doing a little fishing right before a storm hit. They are a lot of fun tp watch while they are hunting. I did make it to Gatorland twice but have not had a chance to process those yet, I'll be sure to post them when they are done.

Thanks Harry, Dick and Susan. The Egret with the frog is one of about 15 shots I took of it. The Egret was having an awful hard time getting the frog down and then flew off with it's prize still not swallowed. Most of the others I took of it were under exposed but this one came out very nice in my opinion.

Thanks Gus, they weren't perfect straight from the camera, not that they are perfiect now, but it was a great learning experience. Hopefully I'll do better next year.

clap.gif Well I'll have to scout out some new sites. I haven't really found any places that could compare to California but there are a couple that aren't too bad. We definitely have to go shooting together once you move here. Send me a PM whenever you're ready to go. What made you decide to move to Chicago?
