My friend was visiting from PA for the weekend, so we spent yesterday in NYC and of course I brought my camera. We did a lot of walking around and stopped to watch a parage celebrating the Birthday of a Buddhist monk. Didn't really get any shots that stand out to post, but thought I'd just post the link for people who are bored, as I sometimes am on a Sunday! :)

    Meagan,

You have a lot of fun shots there - most will be nice memories in your old agerolleyes1.gif

There is one of a cop that I think warrants extra attention - it is a very stong image. It just needs a little help in the "pop" department and it would really fly.

Thank you Scott. Do you mean this one?

I'm thinking he may be talking about the one looking up at the officer's face kind of over his shoulder. He seems to provide a command presence.

Cop on a scooter? not so much. Cute but not commanding. I can just see him tryign to pull someone over. rolleyes1.gif

That would be this one. I actually took this one without looking in the viewfinder because I was standing close to him and didn't want to be annoying. The lighting was terrible and I worked on it a little, but will try again if you think it has potential!

That's the one I was talking about. I am not sure what to tell you about working on it as I rarely use photoshop except to resize some images, and I let my camera do most of my work for me. I hope in the future to get some "formal" training on how to use my 20D, maybe something the wife and I can do together :D . With a 7 month old, and wanting to get better at playing the bagpipes time is somewhat limited though. I just kind of learn as I go.
