The shots were taken in a city called Markham which is just north of Toronto, Ontario. The building is the Marham Civic Centre and theatre. The part of the complex shown in the photos is surrounded by a man-made pond and small park. It's quite a lovely place in the heart of mainly a retail district.
I must ask... what are IRs? And I know it's not the Internal Revenue Service. Is it a filter that makes trees and grass look like winter wonderland? It's gotta be.:):

IR stands for InfraRed. It's photography that is geared more towards the IR spectrum - most cameras block this end. Also, you are sort of correct - trees and grass do end up like a winter wonderland because, in IR, green stuff looks the brightest. Water and sky turn out darker than normal.

sweet shots. the v3 does ir so easily, im in a slight envy. :
These paricular shots were not taken with my V3. I took these with an older toshiba dcam that has been modified for IR. Although the V3 does take some good IRs, I have not been able to squeeze any other color out of it. My V3 shots end up monochrome.

Are you using the V3 in night-shot mode?
I use the night-shot mode on my Sony F717 (they are somewhat greenish) and sometimes you can squeeze some color out with hue/saturation. Just wondering.

Yup, I use the nightshot mode. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong in post processing but I just have not been able to squeeze out a blue sky without everthing else going blue as well (even from the RAW).

I know you can't set a custom white balance with the Sony F717 in nightshot so you probably will have the same problem with the V3...bummer.

thats cool though, having a dedicated IR camera must be fun to have.
