One of our daughters is turning 7 this month and she's had a (flaky) Kodak P&S digicam for over a year. She asked for a new digicam for her birthday (and of course I just hate to oblige that request :wink). we picked up a Canon Powershot A430, which should take care of her for a while.

My wife suggested that we also get her some kind of book on photography. Can anyone suggested one that might be good at that age? She reads well (into the 3rd-grade reading level), so it doesn't have to be 1st-grade material.

Any suggestions?

She is probably smarter than all of us. Go to B&N they have some nice photography for adult type books that seem fairly light reading.
