Wish the view was a tad bit closer, but they still have the *wow* factor even at this magnification. Nice work indeedthumb.gif

    Yeah, me too (sigh)

This is already a heavy crop job. 400mm at about 75 yards. Get to close to the nest and mom doesn't come to the nest. Really, I wish I had a nice, long lens. 600 with a nice 1.4 TC would have done it.

Doggonit, this may be the best (timing and patience wise) bire photo I have ever taken. I really wish I could have cropped it more, or shot it with a longer lens, but I took it as far as I could. It's always something (sigh).

Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it. Sorry for whining.

    Cheers

I shouldn't look at shots like this before breakfast....:puke mmmm, snake.:D

If you had a 500, you would need a 600....you know how that goes.

    Cool, Rich. :):

Nice shots. thumb.gif I always enjoy raptors. The lens/distance issues is always the problem. Too far..too close..sun in your face..yada yada yada. If those darn birds would just leart to cooperate. :D

Very nice Rich. Raptors, chicks, and feeding are a pretty good combo.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Tighter crop
Upsized even more in ACR, then cropped tighter. The image took a quality hit, but maybe it's better with the tighter crop?
