Dunno, but very cool shot Jeff. Really like the way you blurred fore and background to highlight the subject.
A cool litte bird that nest out in the open usually in rocks or gravel. When you get close to the nest mom fakes a broken wing makes lots of distress calls and tries to lead danger away from the nest.

those are pretty large eggs for such a small bird as a Killdeer...
yep and the picture makes them look a little bigger --I am not going to go back and am not telling anyone about the nest the bird as was stated very welll by Thusie the nesting behavior ect makes it too traumatic and then more traffic and they are very much in the open if they make it? so I do not want to add more traffic .So don't get your self alll pissed I am not going back and will not take anyone --Ok if it was a hummer or the like I would share but just taking the 5 shots i took I felt bad and the look on moms face made it even worst sorry
