I'm trying to figure out what kind of memory I need for a Sony Vaio PCV-RZ30CGP purchased late 2003. It has P4HT 3.0 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM (I believe PC3200 400MHz).
How do I know if this is the type RAM I have without cracking the box? Anyway to know if all the slots are already full without cracking the box? And to you still need to add two of the same cards at a time when upgrading?

my words, my "pro"pictures, my "fun" pictures, my videos.
Any ideas on expected improvements going from 1gb to 2gb's?

youll notice a big diff when you open programs like photoshop and viewing images. it renders much quicker. but overall websurfing, probably not.
Photoshop is where I need the speed - Too much delay opening files from bridge to CS2

2Gb is better for PSCS2; it can use more, if your computer has slots for it.

Crucial was much more help than Sony. 2GB is the max for my machine - ordered and should be here Friday.
I'm feeling the computer bug again but guess I'll hold off until the warranty expires
