My cousin's baby, Ava, passed away yesterday. I volunteered to make a program for the funeral, then realized I am over my head. I want something as special and beautiful as that little girl. She was a very sick little girl that had 100's of siezures a day, blind, deaf and no muscle control. Her mother is the stongest most giving person I know and gave every minute of those 3 years to Ava selflessly. I want to give her something she will love. I need help quickly. I haven't got the information or pictures from the mom, she had to go buya new dress for Ava, but if we make a template we can add the info in later. Any help you can give me would be great.

    Such sad news
I recently read the post about your cousin's accident too.

I have no idea what a funeral program is either. What software programs do you have? I'll google it, and if I can help I could set something up maybe. I have a little free time today.

Update: I tried to google "funeral program template" and went to ask.com. I've found different styles and sizes. It's difficult to do a template without some basic information as to what is the size of the program, how many pages and how you will produce them (print, B&W copies, Color copies etc.)

That is a different cousin from the other side of the family.
A program is usually just letter paper folded in half, with a picture, same info as in notice you put in the newspaper, poem or song quoted. It is something the people keep that come to the funeral for a keepsake. I can make a simple one, I just want something pretty using PS brushes and stuff.

I'm so very sorry to hear of this loss. It's just not the natural order for a child to die and this makes it so much harder.

    I Did Not Die

Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

Always appropriate for any age and so touching. I hope it's of help, in some small way.

    Here's the finished product...
Thanks to everyone for your kind words and advise.
Thank you, Dee, for all your help.
By the way, PLEASE don't point out anything I should fix, it is already at the printers, and I would hate to give it to her knowing something it wrong with it.

    Giselle,

You did good. You may not be properly thanked today, because of all the pain and emotion, but things like this make a difference.

You did what you could, and you did good. No one can ever ask for more.

Thank you everyone. The family liked it, it was a beautiful funeral but hardest I have ever been to... with the smallest pink casket. But she looked so peaceful...finally she stopped having seizures. Thank you again...
