Day Trip from Vegas?

Hey
So the dh and I are planning the details of our few days in Vegas preshootout. We land at 8 a.m. on Saturday, and of course won't be able to check in right away. So we're thinking of making that day a touring day. We've been to Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire last trip. We've also been to Red Rock, but didn't spend enough time there. What other day trips are suggested. Need to provide scenery, photo ops and the opportunity for good food. Where is that place that evil posts pics of - Bodey? Of course, getting somewhere really warm at noon would not be ideal.

Thanks

ann

    Hi Ann,

The Grand Canyon is a daytrip, probably 5 hours each way. There are a lot of slot canyons on the east side of the canyon that are cool Lake Havasu with the original London Bridge is nice. Death Valley is only like 2 hours from vegas.

I know there is a ghost town on the way to Zion. Just not sure how far it is.

Bob - FWIW, 10 hrs in tha car is not a daytrip to me:D
I would need to get out and shoot things (with the camera of course). We are thinking very hard about Death Valley right now. Of course, I just looked at a bigger map and see that Arizona is also really close by....
