Surfing - Wedge catches an early Southern Hemi

Here's a couple from the Wedge here in Newport Beach, CA yesterday where we have been getting an early blast of swell coming in from the south. The boogieboard crowd had some serious waves to contend with all day yesterday.

    Awesome picture, but your watermark plainly sucks.. tone it down a notch, hey? :)

    I looked through a lot of your gallery, too, and your work is spectacular - but the PROOF is so distracting and unneccesary!

    Yeah, still in beta mode in creating the site Owen. Once I finish designing the site, watermarks will be a lesser issue since I will control them myself. Until then, better to be safe than sorry no? Especially when sharing larger pix thumb.gif

    Here's another drop in during the afternoon session. One problem we had was wind blowing out the afternoon sets making rides pretty short.

    Sweet, those waves are pretty big for boogie borders, got some nice shots going on for sure.

    I'm sorry but your copyright just really annoys my eyes, dont take it the wrong way or anything but it is really distracting. But awesome photos, keep it up !

    Nah, I take it as good constructive criticism thumb.gif If only Smugmug had a hack that would let me dilute or change their proof watermark, I'd be set. Maybe there is and I just havent discovered it yet. Lord knows, a photogeek like me spends way too much time in the field, and not enough designing their dang sites heh.

    Great shots, water mark doesnt bother me, Its all about protection, the wave is the first shot is a monster !
