My Canon 28-105 f3.5-4.5 squeaks when it attempts to focus. This has been going on since I bought it about 3 months ago. So, I sent it off to Canon last week.

How long should I expect them to have it? I may need to find another zoom before my daughter's birthday the end of this month.

I assume you are not a member of CPS based on your listed equipment. So regular service is 2-4+ weeks depending on whats wrong, parts in stop, etc.....

Rentglass.com has very cheap rental rates if you need a zoom for a week. Check them out, it would probably be around $40-50 bux for what you need.
