RAW for 30D is here!

Just got a message from NAPP: new version 3.4 of ACR supports 30D, as well as a bunch of the other newest cameras.:clap

    Isn't the sensor and DIGIC II chip in the 30D identical to the 20D in all respects? If so why is supporting a 30D so hard?

    This is what I really hate about propreitary RAW formats.

    It's the same processing. But they check the EXIF to see which camera it is. 30D was not on the list, hence the problem. ne_nau.gif The hack (which I used before) was addressing exactly this issue - it was simply replacing one of the high end canon names with 30D - and that did the trick perfectly. :):

    Luckily, now we have 30D officially in the list of the supported cameras, so life can go on:-)
