As we may have mentioned, we are upgrading two of our connections to GigE. We had hoped to get these in sooner (luckily we've been poking along fine with some ugly but functional bandwidth rebalancing), but today is the day we could get all of the required ducks in the row.
While we have redundancy, I still need to squeeze part of our traffic temporarily back through a smaller pipe than we're currently doing between the two. We'll upgrade the link, fail over, and upgrade the other. If all goes well, no one will notice. At worst case you might see a small hiccup or two, and may need to hit reload as our traffic is shifted between routers/providers/etc. Our performance may be reduced if you happen to sit closer to the link that's being saturated while it's redundant peer is being upgraded. Hang tight, we'll be back to speedy after we're done.
