It was actually not considered 'good' season as the migratory birds had all left by Feb !
The painted stork -

a glossy Ibis
a purple swamphen ( I hope I'm not making these names up )

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Very cool.....beautiful birds

thanks a lot Mike! Considering the weather in Florida and India are quite alike, It's just a matter of time( a very long Darwinian sortof time !) before they're in your backyard !

Harry - yeah, that struck me too especially when I saw a black-necked stilt yesterday out here - exactly the same in India ; they have the rest -the egrets, the blue herons ( they call 'em grey, but they look very similar), the night heron etc. well, no bald eagle there ... purely american ?! it's quite interesting !
