Tender Moment

While shooting for a client yesterday I had a little girl that did NOT want her picture taken. She was pouty and ended up crying. Her mother took her off to the side and comforted her until she calmed down.

My lights were pointed the other way but I tried to capture the moment. It was under exposed and noisy but I despekled it and brightened it and did a Bn W conversion due to abnormal color balance.

I think it still came out ok.

Well, I think it came out better then just "OK". Very nice and one I think the mother will treasure.

How did the rest of the shoot go? How do you find children to relax and warm up to the camera? I am currently photographing a ton of kids for a commercial gig and do find kids tricky to work with as they get camera shy at first or have melt downs.

Though the photo is black&white it seems really warm and "colored". Amazing atmosphere you guys have created.
