Very slow or non-functioning picture upload...?

I've been uploading some pics (about 60mbyte in total) and it does not work well.

I used the windows uploader.
A bunch of pics i uploaded into one new gallery... it's been busy for over 20 minutes now, and only 3 pics are shown but as 'Processing Image'.

One other pic i added to an existing gallery. It showed up as 'Processing image' for a while, but now it disappeared all together. I'm uploading it again now... it just finished and it says now: "Sorry, but we didn't receive any photos. Please try again"

What is going on?

Also, it seems that drag-and-drop on both the windows and the java uploader does not function well on my PC (i have to try and drag the files a couple of times... at some point the drop is accepted. Most of the times the drop is totally ignored, it seems).
I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
in two billion years,
all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

I had exactly the same problems until I started using the following uploader:
    http://wiki.shahine.com/default.aspx/MyWiki.SendToSmugMug

It allows you to upload huge sizes and 100's at a time. You right-click your file and hit "send to smugmug" then you pick your gallery, and off they go. If you do a bundle at once, it can take a while so load a ton, and then go to bed, or take a nap or something, come back and there they are! Works like a charm.

    Oki doki! :D

Any idea why the drag&drop does not function most of the time on my PC? On both the windows and java (Beta) uploader...

    But sometimes it does work...

If i try to drop, it is as if nothing happened. I try a few times dropping the files and at some point it starts working... sometimes never.

Grrr... i tried to use the java (beta) uploader again... and got this message again (after it seemed to upload successfully) "Sorry, but we didn't receive any photos. Please try again"

how can i upload this pic successfully?

I'm trying the universal one now (the one using the standard FORM file upload using HTML).
Update: This one worked! Yeah!!! :)

We should be clear at this point (as of ~30 minutes ago), all traffic has been restored to their original locations. From what I can tell, we didn't oversaturate any of our links while stuff moved back and forth.

And it actually appeared 3 times just now... despite the error-messages, the image was uploaded successfully. I already deleted the other 2 before i read your response here, Andy.

    Thanks! :D
