it looks pretty good-with an adapter you can use the m42 mount on eos-9 blades and very nice bokeh.its on my list....

    Greg,

It is a Zeiss design, but ...

"The new Zeiss ZF and ZS Zeiss designed lenses are produced in Cosina's factory under Zeiss quality control. "

I think I need some assurance that this is truly that special a lens, and not just a Cosina with a Zeiss label on it.

In the mean time, I have two Pentax 50mm, f1.4 SMC, in the M42 mount, that have great qualities and cost much less. (OK, they only have 8 blade apertures.:cry )

I think I need to learn how to use them to my advantage first.

(Oddly, the camera meters them (the lenses) as though f1.8 when wide open, but I have confirmed the creamy smooth bokeh, and, when wide open, the aperture blades don't come into play.:D )
