saurora-
definitely not as cute as a fetal us-
what's amazing is I'll do these on 90 year-olds and what I see is a pump that has been beating for almost one hundred years-

this is an internal carotid artery coming off of the common carotid artery (in the neck)-
the color helps to pinpoint any narrowing of the vessel due to plaque which can cause a cerebrovascular accident (stroke)-
this vessel is normal, or clean-
Cool -but I have my own set-Just a little soft plaque in the carotid bulb- but I didn't get any cool color enhancement...........Mereimage

Thanks for the picture. I am a patient and am seeking more information. I recently had my second ultrasound on my heart. I was watching the monitor. I do not understand what I saw and would like to know more. How do youn intrepret the colors. Is there a good book on the subject.
Thanks for you time.
