Congrats! It looks like a great setup - you'll have a lot of fun! Let us know how you like it. I'm still loving my new 30D, I just wish I had more time to play with it at the moment. :D

Just make sure you have already arranged for selling your soul, kids and the house - you'd need all that money for the glass and other "excessories" (tm)mwink.gif

    The 30d is WONDERFUL!!!!

    Now for the glass! rolleyes1.gif

Pass on the Canon 100mm macro and get the oh-so-sweet Sigma 150mm macro! The world's FIRST f/2.8 macro lens with REAL HSM!

(The second being the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 SWM. The Canon 100mm f/2.8 claims to be USM but it is actually ring-type USM, which is different than the much faster USM motor in for example a 24-70 L or a 70-200 L)

Congrats on a great new kit! I have the Tamron lens and have been very pleased with its performance. What they say about accumulating gear is true. Everything I have listed in my sig (and other stuff I haven't listed) has been purchased over the past couple of years. :):
