Hi Y'all,
Dgrin challenge 65 is here. It will run from Monday, May 15th at 12:00:01 a.m. NYC time, through Monday, May 29th 2006 at Noon NYC time. The guest judge for the challenge will be the winner of challenge 64, as determined by the voters.
Remember, in order for everyone to benefit, you should be commenting and critiquing for others as much as you expect to get for yourself. You've got to give to get!
The Challenge 65 Theme is - Nostalgia.
Nostalgia is best described as a longing for the past, often idealized and unrealistic. Nostalgia can mean different things to different people. A computer geek may get all teary eyed seeing a 5 1/4 floppy disc. A person who lived during the 50s could go gaga seeing a juke box or a diner or by hearing doo-wop music. A child of the 60s will think of hippies and Woodstock and so on.
This thread, is the one into which you post your challenge entry, and remember, one entry per person, and the photo must be fresh, taken during the challenge period. You must post the date the photograph was taken or it will be deemed ineligible. Any entries without a date included, either typed in or by linked exif, will be deleted without notice.
All of the rules of the dgrin photo challenges apply, please read them!

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

My artist friend asked me if I had any photos of dead roses for a gothic painting, so I let these die, and really enjoyed shooting them, taking me back to B&W nostagia again.

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.
