CName problems

Hi

I have recently purchased smugmug pro and am desperately trying to use my domain name www.benson-village.co.uk as my custom hostname.

My domain is held by www.uk2.net , I added a cname record pointing to www.smugmug.com successfully.

If you try accessing www.benson-village.co.uk now, you get directed to the www.smugmug.com homepage, but not to www.benson.smugmug.com as i would want it to.

The missing link is pretty obvious, adding my hostname to the custom hostname within smugmug, but when I try I keep getting the message :"That hostname doesn't appear to be valid. It doesn't resolve to a hostname."

I have been patient and have been trying everyday for the last 4-5 days, but am still getting the same results. I feel so close to achieving the desired result, but obviously am missing something.

Can anybody help?

Did you catch that caveat about the settings in your smugmug control panel...

Don't add http:// or any / marks. Just type www.yourdomain.com (or photos.yourdomain.com, for example, if you set it up that way)

This is your site, yes? http://benson.smugmug.com/

I've made the engineers aware of this.

    Yes, that is my site.

Thanks for the extremely quick response.

I would be quite happy to email you my login details to my hosting company (uk2.net) if required.
