CLU Graduation

Today our local Californian Luther University celebrated the graduation of the Class 2006.

Immense crowd gathered to celebrate:



As usual, the event was graced by presence of some high-rank dignitaries.
In this case - His Excellency Dr.Jan Eliasson, the President of the General Assembly of the UN and also acting Foreign Minister if the Kingdom of Sweden:

I agree....this shot was my fav also! It is a really neat series. I love graduations. They always bring tears to my eyes and bring back fond memories. Very emotional ceremonies (speeches get a little lonnnnggg...) but the happy grads and families gathered make for a wonderful event.

Great set, Nikolai! They are all nice, but #3 is really really cool! I can't help it, and I don't know why, but I makes me giggle.

It reminds me of a cartoon by Gary Larson. It was a farmer standing outside the hen cage (or what they are called) with an axe in his hand, talking to himself "Hmm... what hen will I have for dinner tonight? Whooo's it gonna be! Whooo?". Inside the cage there was many hens, but one hen had this really really long neck.... something like that. *Haha*
